Following the completion of all regulatory procedures, Grobank Limited has been officially renamed Access Bank South Africa Limited. The deal was consummated after Access Bank’s acquisition of controlling shares in the former Grobank Limited, South Africa.
Building on its strategy of delivering a robust banking operation which connects key African markets, Access Bank Plc entered into a definitive agreement with GroCapital Holdings in October 2020 to invest into Grobank Limited over two tranches.
The well-respected restaurateur’s relationship with Grobank began in 2005, notably spearheaded by Christa Swart. Sideris notes: "The people Grobank hires and the service that you get from those people makes it more than just a bank. They really endeavour to forge relationships with their clients and understand personal needs.”
